Random text chat without the pressure of a camera

You do not need to be camera-ready to say hello. Text chat gives you a moment to think, type, and see whether a conversation has somewhere to go.

Just open the chat and start typing

Choose your preferences and press Start. Once another text-chat user connects, the message box becomes available. Video users and text users are matched in separate queues, so choosing Text keeps the conversation in text.

No camera or microphone is needed. You do not need to create an account. That does not mean every part of your visit is anonymous: the service uses a guest session and stores information needed for moderation. Our privacy policy explains those details.

What do you say first?

A simple question is enough. “What have you been listening to lately?” gives someone more to answer than “hi,” without asking for personal details. If the reply is short, try one follow-up. If it still feels flat, Next is there for a reason.

You can leave whenever you like

Next finds another person. Stop ends the session. Report or Block helps you handle unwanted behavior. You do not owe a stranger your time or an explanation.

Video chat adds a camera and microphone. If you would rather keep them off, stay in Text.
