A quick safety check before you chat

Meeting someone new can be fun without giving them access to the rest of your life. A few small habits help you keep the conversation on your terms.

Check what the camera can see

Look for mail with your address, a work badge, school names, or an open screen behind you. Move them before starting video. Text chat avoids the camera altogether, but what you type still matters.

Keep useful identifying details to yourself

You can talk about a film, a hobby, or your day without sharing your full name, exact location, phone number, or daily route. Never send passwords, verification codes, bank details, or identity documents.

Slow down around links and money

If a stranger wants you to open a link, download a file, send money, or move immediately to another app, you can decline. A friendly conversation is not proof that a person or their story is trustworthy.

Leave when a boundary is crossed

Use Stop to leave, Next to move on, and Report or Block for harmful behavior. You do not need to stay connected to argue. Blocking limits contact with that guest; it cannot promise that a person will never return under a different session.

Remember that messages can be copied

The other person can capture what they see. Camzuno’s direct peer connections may also expose a public IP address to a partner. Read the privacy policy for the connection and report details, rather than assuming “no account” means “no information.”

Camzuno is for adults aged 18 and over. Our community rules set the boundaries for both text and video.
